The Couple

What can we say, Ivy & Tyler are awesome. They also happen to be good friends of ours, so when they initially invited us to their wedding as guests, we responded with “Yeah, as long as we can shoot your weeding film!”. To our delight, they agreed - and the whole day from start to finish was nothing short of incredible. Ivy & Tyler are beautiful people inside out and wonderful parents to their gorgeous little girl, Lienna.

The Story

Two beautiful and unique cultures combined. Ivy & Tyler first met whilst Tyler was studying in Dunedin and Ivy was travelling New Zealand from China. To cut a long story short, Ivy was couch surfing and then one day the couch she ended up on was Tylers! From there, friendship budded and love blossomed.

The Place

The infamous hidden gem, Thurlby Domain, hidden away in stunning tranquility was the most magical choice of venue for Ivy & Tyler’s Queenstown wedding. With its iconic stone ruins, forested grounds and enchanting garden, this gorgeous venue made for truly spectacular footage and definitely one of our personal favourites for filming a Queenstown wedding film. 

Prior to their big official day, we embarked on an exciting heli wedding adventure to capture their engagement high up on the mighty Cecil Peak to catch sunrise. The early rise was definitely worth it!
